5 years ago we stepped out on stage encountering the scorching Brisbane heat and a huge crowd at the 1996 Livid Festival. Live At The Wireless Double J reminisce with some of the best bits

I was playing bass in an Adelaide band called “Grunter” with Kelly Hewson who is the brother of Aaron (our drummer then). I had the riff for this song and took it along to rehearsal and Grunter had the first version of this song.

I remember seeing a Bird of Paradise growing in the front garden of our house while it was being prepped to sell, and it sort of filled me with sadness, and I wrote something later called Bird of Paradise, in my notebook, lyric ideas

A historic insight on the Ill At Ease Recording Sessions Greetings, to celebrate the new TMOC website I said I’d write some notes on how some of the songs were developed and then recorded during the Ill at Ease sessions and it’s a long time ago but I will try.

The proposed 25th Anniversary Ill At Ease Tour planned for later in 2020 has been postponed for now but will be rescheduled for 2021 due to COVID-19 throwing the live music scene into turmoil.

The details are a little hazy, but I’m pretty sure I wrote this "Survival techniques for bands" in response to a request to do a talk to a group of bands in Mt Gambier.  This was in response to a request by a host of a local independent music radio show there and who also played in a band.

To celebrate the 30 Year Anniversary Tour of Battlesick, we are re-issuing Battlesick on Vinyl through Golden Robot Records. The vinyl re-release contains the original track listing and order from the 1989 release and has been re-mastered.
