Dymocks in Adelaide are having a special event on the 20th of March 2014 at 6pm. Special guest for the evening will be John Scott.

Here are the details: Something a little different this month. For starters the ‘poet’ we will be paying tribute to isn’t dead. Secondly he’s a writer, a top shelf spoken word artist and only (arguably) a poet.

“Henry Rollins… is an American musician, writer, journalist, publisher, actor, radio host, spoken word artist, and activist… Rollins fronted the California hardcore punk band Black Flag from August 1981 until mid-1986. Following the band’s breakup, Rollins established the record label and publishing company 2.13.61 to release his spoken word albums, as well as forming the Rollins Band” – Wikipedia

And remember there is also open mic where you can perform/read one Rollins and one original work.
